I have a nonviolent felony that is 7 years old and I was upfront to the manager about it. She told me and my wife to go ahead and pay the application fees for both of our applications and then asked us to get as many letters of recommendation as we cod emailed to her from our friends and family.
I have lived in this apartment complex for the past 6 years and have seen many property managers come and go. Although the last one was by far the absolute WORST one I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with, the new manager seems to be amazing. Desiree is pleasant, responsive, and isn't a micro-manager. FINALLY this apartment feels like home again!
I must say for what I pay as a monthly rent is very comparable to other places we have looked at before moving here. The new management has been great and we love living here. It's just far enough from Springfield but very convenient . Very quiet and peaceful when sitting out on our deck in nice weather
New resident. The office manager, Desiree, is very helpful and knowledgeable. There were a few things that needed repair upon move-in and they were fixed immediately. And... NEW CARPET! My only concerns are the walls are very thin; I can hear my neighbors talking and watching tv. Also, the pet deposit is high compared to other facilities. To anyone looking for an affordable apartment in the Willard School district - I would highly recommend North Brooke Apartments
Finally after 3 weeks we get her to answer the phone. She said she hadn't had the time to talk to the owners about us. After that all communication attempts were futile. Communication isn't hard and that's why I'm giving them a 1 star rating.
UPDATE: Desiree left shortly after I posted my review. The manager we had for the past 10 months was incompetent and lazy and thankfully quit a month ago. Joe, formerly the maintenance person, is currently the manager. It's about time that he applied for the promotion. He's been employed at Northbrooke for the past few years and is the only hardworking employee they've ever had. He cares about his job and I believe he is going to do some good things around here. He takes the time to get to know the residents and genuinely listens to concerns. I'll be moving out soon (getting married! ) but would definitely recommend giving Northbrooke and Joe a chance!
Thank god we found a Renter in Willard after that. Now we're in a beautiful 3 bed 2 bath garaged home so you can keep your crappy overpriced apartments. Yall didn't deserve us anyways!
Bad experience here. My wife and two kids were looking to relocate from Texas to Willard and we checked out these apartments.
I have lived here at Northbrooke Apartments for the past 6 years as of August and have seen many (many) mangers come and go. Our newest manager, Desiree has been absolutely wonderful. She's always friendly whether you stop into the office or give her a call to ask a question or voice a concern. The whole atmosphere of the complex has definitely changed for the better which makes it a more enjoyable place to live. If you're looking for something close to Springfield but prefer a smaller town or just some place a little quieter; I'd absolutely recommend Northbrooke Apartments here in Willard! Also, my two dogs really enjoy having a small fenced in area to play off leash!
We were excited because finally someone is willing to look past my background and give us a chance. Well a week goes by and we're trying to coordinate the move without ever knowing if we were accepted or not. We call the manager and she doesn't answer me or my wife's phone. We had over 20 letters sent to her and she never bothered to read one or run it by the owners.
